Beaverlodge Portable Sign Bylaws

  • The definition of a sign on the Beaverlodge development permit is any structure, device, light, or any part thereof, used to identify, advertise, or attract attention to any person, object, product, event, place, organization, institution, development, business group, profession, enterprise, or industry and is intended to be seen from on or off the site where the sign is located.
  • For portable signs in the town of Beaverlodge it is required for all signs to have a development permit and be approved by the Development Officer. The cost is $100 for a sign permit.
  • Portable signs or freestanding signs in Beaverlodge shall conform to the setback requirements for principal buildings in the district in which the sign is located.
  • Portable signs shall be approved by the Development Authority for up to 30 days after which the sign shall be removed for not less than 30 days. After the expiry of the 30-day period, another application may be made for a portable sign on the site. With permission from The Development Authority the 30-day term may be extended.
